Fig and almond cake is an icon of Mediterranean cuisine and was consumed in ancient times as part of the regular diet. Only almonds of the best calibre and the best dried figs are selected to elaborate these cakes. Known for their sweet flavour and tiny seeds, the fine texture of the fruit creates a very smooth cake.
