Basco’s Jamon serrano is a traditional Spanish ham from la “sierra”, or mountains in inland Spain. It is dry cured ham, and one of the most popular types of Spanish ham, generally served in thin slices carved from the leg or sliced on a meat slicer.
The majority of serrano hams are made from the duroc or landrace breed of white pig and are not to be confused with the much more expensive Iberico ham (Jamon Iberico).
