The Martínez Somalo Salchichón Cular is a traditional Spanish cured sausage crafted with premium cuts of pork and seasoned with a balanced blend of spices. Made following time-honored Rioja curing methods, it develops a firm texture and a rich, savoury aroma. Its natural casing (“cular”) allows for a slower, more even cure, resulting in deep flavour, delicate marbling, and a smooth, refined finish. This salchichón is an authentic expression of Spanish charcuterie craftsmanship.
HOW TO SERVE SALCHICHÓN CULAR?
For the best experience, slice the salchichón thinly just before serving. Its flavour shines at room temperature, making it ideal for charcuterie boards, tapas platters, or a simple snack with crusty bread. HOW TO STORE Salchichon CULAR?
Our Salchichon Cular comes vacuum packed in 1.2kg pieces. Keep refrigerated between 0 and 6 ºC. Keep in the refrigerator for up to six months unopened. Once opened, wrap tightly when stored and use within 1 month.

Martínez Somalo is a family business founded in 1901 by Don José Martínez Campo. Under the management of D. Lino Martínez Uruñuela, the corporation built modern facilities equipped with the latest technology and divided into two different production centers. The traditional one dedicated to the production of Chorizo, and the modern one focused in drying of Serrano Ham.
Currently, the firm is led by the 4th generation of the family, and qualified professionals from the meat sector. Both our plants are located in Baños de Río Tobía (La Rioja) –typical Spanish wine region. We are certified with the prestigious regulations BRC “British Retail Consortium” and IFS (International Food Standard).
