WINE TASTING
This winery, located in Tierra de Barros in Extremadura, is the result of a partnership between the Losada Serra family, owners of a big agricultural holding in the area, and the Alvear family, who has been producing wine in Montilla-Moriles since the 18th century. Wines are made under the DO Ribera del Guadiana and VT Extremadura category.
Made with tempranillo grapes from clay soil plots, the malolactic fermentation of the wine takes place in French and American oak, aged for four months in the same barrels. The nose is intense with notes of red fruits and fine touches of spiciness. On the mouth the wine is jammy with a good varietal character and an elegant and fresh finish.
FOOD PAIRING
This wine is a great all-rounder, perfect for every day drinking and especially good with tapas, pasta dishes, grilled red meats and cured cheeses.
