WHAT IS GIN POMADA?
The drink Pomada is a mixture of Xoriguer Gin with fresh lemon juice. This is a drink that is a must during the traditional festivities of Menorca’s patron saints’ day, when it is most commonly consumed. This is why it is known all over the island, although depending on where you ask, you may be given different names: “pomada”, “ginet” or “gin amb llimonada”. As it has a mild flavour, it is drunk in small sips throughout the day, as it has a high alcohol content due to its gin base.
TASTING NOTES
Gin Xoriguer Pomada has an intense yellow colour. Its aroma has soft juniper notes with a lemony green finish. As for the taste, it is light at first, with soft citrus and a finish with hints of juniper.
