TASTING NOTES
Named after the idyllic hamlet of Aguirrebekoa, this wine embodies the essence of Basque txakoli. Aguirrebeko arises from the harmonious fusion of different plots that make up Bodega Berroja’s vineyard. Each corner, with its unique characteristics and orientation, brings a special essence to their txakoli. This is how each bottle becomes a sensory journey, capturing the essence of our terroir in every sip.
Aguirrebeko combines 85% of the captivating Hondarrabi Zuri, an indigenous variety that brings freshness and vivacity, and 10% Riesling, which adds complexity and elegance. To complete this symphony of flavours, they add 5% blend of Hondarrabi Zuri Zerratia and Munemahatsa, adding unique nuances, soft aromas and exquisite texture.
Immerse yourself in the charm of a true oenological jewel: the Txakoli with Denomination of Origin Bizkaiko Txakolina, an authentic expression of tradition.

The Source
Txakoli Zudugarai
Located on the Gipuzkoa coast, with the Cantabrian sea to the north. The Zudugarai winery and its estates have been established on the gentle, rounded hills, alternating with small valleys; hills which stand 90 metres above sea level, and come to an abrupt halt at the coast. In order to avoid high-humidity related problems, the vineyard is located on the sunniest, windiest slopes, on well-drained land with tall plantations. The owners of Txakoli Zudugarai (Errasti´s brothers, Vicente, Jose Mari and Patxi) have long-standing experience in growing grapes and producing Txakoli, a young, very dry white wine unique to the Basque Country. Txakoli Zudugarai’s main aim is producing a high-quality wine. With a unique character, linked to Basque traditions and to the land, and always using local grapes such as Hondarrabi Zuri (white) and Hondarrabi Beltza (black).
