Senorio de Vizcantar is a Spanish extra virgin olive oil from Priego de Cordoba. This premium olive oil is a blend of three olive varieties; picudo, hojiblanca and picual. The fruity intensity of the Picudo, the subtle almond hints of the Hojiblanca and the austere astringency of the Picual all make for a complex and intresting oil. The logo is taken from a medieval engraving which translates as love of agriculture and respect for tradition.
Senorio de Vizcantar has won best olive oil by German magazine Derfeinschmeker and French magazine Le Guide des Huiles D´olive.
One bottle of balsamic vinegar by Bodegas Navarro. This 15 year old vinegar is made from 100% Pedro Ximenez aged fortified wine from the D.O. Montilla-Moriles, and then kept for another ten years in American oak casks in a Solera and Criaderas system with a regular blending from cask to cask. This balsamic vinegar has a rich sweetness characteristic of classic balsamics. What sets this vinegar apart is the Pedro Ximenez grape – slowly dried in the sun to concentrate the sugars, it has distinct flavours of crushed raisins and Christmas cake.
