Job Vacancy ǀ Accounts Administrator ǀ Up to £23,000 p.a.
We are a fast-growing Spanish food and drink importing company based in West Yorkshire. We are currently expanding our team and are on the lookout for a full-time accounts administrator. Reporting directly to the Office Manager, the ideal candidate will support the smooth running of the office and warehouse administrative and operational functions. This role will be a mix of accounts payable and receivable and requires good working knowledge of Xero accounting system. The role requires someone with strong interpersonal skills, ability to multi-task and a general can-do attitude from someone who wants to grow and develop within the company.
Duties
Communicate professionally and effectively with customers and suppliers
Using Xero accounting software on a day to day basis
Raising and processing sales and purchase invoices with accuracy and in a timely matter
Processing and completing EMCS entries for goods under duty suspension, as well as managing monthly reporting of duty suspended goods
Sales and purchase ledger
Bank reconciliation
Processing monthly accruals and prepayments
Setting up weekly supplier payment runs and updating journals
Producing and monitoring of aged creditors and debtors reports on Xero
Assisting with credit control
Compiling reports relating to activity areas, expenditures and company profitability
Support logistics with general administration
Assist with any ad hoc duties to support the running of the office
Experience
Previous accountancy experience is essential
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a bookkeeping role
Xero certified or minimum of 1 years’ experience working with Xero Accounting Software
Excellent IT skills in excel and able to communicate clearly
Proven ability to build strong relationships; evidence of service that prioritises, meets and exceeds customer expectations; deals promptly with customer and supplier concerns
Excellent communication skills including a good telephone manner
Ability to organise and prioritise work effectively to achieve targets in a timely and efficient manner; consults colleagues and refers appropriately
Salary & Benefits
Up to £23,000 per annum
Full-time, permanent role
Monday to Friday from 8am to 4.30pm
20 days holiday per annum plus bank holidays (holiday entitlement will increase with length of service, up to 25 days per annum)
