Montbru Garrotxa is a goats cheese made in Mas Montbru in the Moianes region of Catalunya.
Garrotxa is a re-invention of a traditional cheese of the region; it has a rind covered with a grey mould, pel florida, and a bone white paste. The aromas are intense and fresh, with a slight citric flavour, buttery texture and notes of citrus and mountain herbs.
Garrotxa cheese is ideal in salads, melted on toast or used in pasta fillings or in creamy cheese sauces.
