Traditionally eaten grilled, Embutidos Melsa has given pork presa a new use by adding spices and curing it slowly in their cellars. The result is a unique product on the market that will surprise any Spanish charcuterie lover. Presa is a pork cut from the top of the loin, its position in the animal gives this piece its perfect marbling, and as a result, its characteristic juiciness and unique flavour. Embutidos melsa carefully selects each presa from free-range pork from Teruel, curing each piece very carefully without pressing the product.
Our cured presa weighs around 250g which makes it comfortable to use at home. Slice it very thinly at room temperature and serve on any type of meat board with olives and cheese.
Please note that each presa piece comes with its natural curing mould, to prepare simply use a sharp knife to trim the outside layer and remove any mould particles. Our cured presa has gone through a 100% natural process.
