Voted best Spanish lager 'helles style' at the World Beer Awards for 5 years!
Description
Spain has quite a long history with beer; many of the most well-known brands began producing lager from the late 1800s onwards. Cervezas La Virgen are relatively new to the game and part of a growing trend for craft beer in Spain.
This is La Virgen’s attempt at a classic German Helles and they absolutely nail it. Crisp, refreshing, mildly sweet, eminently quaffable and exactly what you want on a roasting hot summer’s eve in Madrid. Their Helles has won best Spanish lager at the World Beer Awards only five times…Salud!
Food Pairing
La Virgen Madrid Lager is the perfect beer to accompany tapas, Spanish omelette, fried fish, charcuterie, Spanish ham or to simply drink on its own.
