Rabitos Royale are a unique and delicious artisan confection and perhaps our favourite chocolate creation from Spain.
The Valero family created this extraordinary treat, while living among the fig trees of a small village in Extremadura in Southwestern Spain. They select tender young figs from the variety Pajarero and fill them with a ganache cream made from dark chocolate and a hint of brandy. The rich dark chocolate and brandy filling nicely accents the mellow and delicate sweetness of early ripening figs. Each rabito royale is then hand dipped in even more rich dark chocolate for a smooth chocolatey coating that you won't be able to resist!
Our supplier La Chinata, in partnership with the Valero family and their company La Higuera, have developed this variation of the classic rabitos royale, blending extra virgin olive oil from manzanilla cacereña olives into the chocolate mix. The result is an extra creamy rabito royale that will melt in your mouth.
