75% Tempranillo and 25% Graciano
First selection of the grapes in the vineyards, manual harvest in boxes of 20 Kg, followed by a second table selection of the grape clusters. Malolactic fermentation in french oak barrels during 3 months in contact with its fine lees. Aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels.
Alma has a dark cherry colour, with toasted notes of oak, chocolate and coffee. This Rioja has a big expression of fruit and minerality. This wine is powerful on the mouth with black mature fruits and liquorice ending. It turns out to be a wine with great persistence, complexity and elegance.
Excellent with beef dishes that use mushrooms and truffle but it also goes well with roast duck and red berries. It surprisingly good with chocolate desserts!
