The main activity is carried out in Igualada, a small village located in a rural area, Northwest of Barcelona. The area enjoys a microclimate characterized by long and dry winters with frequent frosts which constitute the perfect conditions to cure quality pork sausages, hams and meats in the most natural way.
Panceta is made from pork belly which is rubbed with salt and cured between 4 to 6 weeks, the whole pieces are then lightly smoked to provide its distinctive flavour.
Smoked panceta can be used in a large range of dishes, try it in a salad with rocket leaves, picos blue cheese and fresh pear. Try crispy pancetta as a topping in pizzas, sprinkled in soups and casseroles or perfect with pasta dishes.
Our Smoked Panceta comes vacuum pac in 1kg pieces. Keep refrigerated. Serve at room temperature, sliced thinly. Keep in the refrigerator for up to six months unopened. Once opened, wrap tightly when stored and use within 3 weeks.
